Dear Friends of EVOLVE:
As you may be aware, Hurricane Hannah pummeled us on the Saturday of our festival weekend- we fought back hard, man against nature, relocating stages and continuing the show and band sets- we were having a blast dancing, singing and having a wet and wild time- it was awesome!!!!!!!
On a bit of a heavier note, we sustained a tremendous setback in terms of the anticipated participant turnout (5-15,000) on that stormy Saturday- which is the main day for any 3-day weekend festival. This situation has put the future of this fledgling festival in jeopardy.
This shouldn't be the case as so many people reported back their very positive reviews of the overall event (see below)
I just received a myspace bulletin this morning from a fellow festival-maker announcing that after 3 years- she is cancelling her next Jamfest in VA. Why? She- like myself, has FUNDED, organized and produced the fest with little to no help and is feeling the crunch. I don't know if she ever used the power of community networking to help save her festival.
If people truly believe in something new they think is good and that should continue- they should really help to support it's birthing process with their gifts- on this, we can all agree, I would hope. My rule in facilitating this festival was to try and give to everyone whatever they wanted or felt they needed -this applied whether they were bands, speakers, sound and stage crew or festival-goers.
The reason I never burnt-out doing this as a solo project? I love to give, I love to serve- it makes me feel wonderful!!!!
We still owe the NJ State Fairgrounds a considerable sum. We wish to return to the Fairgrounds in 2009 for another magical experience . In times like this, we find ourselves needing to rely on the embrace and support of our EVOLVE Family and Friends.
The question is: Would you meet us half-way and help us out just a little bit?

-It was everything we wanted in a festival: it was run in a very professional manner, and judging by the other festivals we've played, this was by far the best.
-We support the messages and the vibe that we felt at Evolve. First, environmental consciousness is responsible and necessary and healthy for all. And, spiritual connectedness, awareness and actualization are the cornerstones to a healthy, happy and productive society. We know the storm decreased attendance, but it was about playing and feeling the present moments we were a part of with the people we were engaged with at that time. We thank you for having the desire and action plan to organize such a gathering dedcated to these causes and look forward to working with you again in the future.
-I think the layout of the fest was great. In fact we've been calling it the country club because of all the accomodations.
- Evolve was awesome.
-In spite of the hurricane, you guys (and all participants involved) really pulled things together and kept the great vibes and music rolling. Awesome time, man.

-Dave we really enjoyed ourselves at Evolve last weekend! Everyone involved was really cool and a pleasure to work with. I know our fans had a great time as well and I got a lot of good feedback on the event. And I am glad you are in charge, everyone holds you in high regards.
-the festival was amazing, and completely blew my expectations. From at least 90% of the people in attendance, there was a real vibe of love, acceptance, and brotherhood. The music was excellent, too. Kudos on an outstanding festival, Dave. And thank you, too. I owe you a hug n' a handshake next time I see you.

-Thank you so much for the beautiful event you have fashioned! Hearing from several friends about the awesomeness of Evolve last year, I was excited to attend (and volunteer) this year. I was duly impressed with the local NJ talent performing this past weekend! I also really enjoyed the conversations with Reality Sandwich and the 2012 film.

There was nothing bad about it at all! Except for the weather, which was unfortunate because it was probably the day that we were hoping to get the most people.
The tenting out sounding fun even from the beginning, but it was so much more of a blast than I thought it would be. So many lovely people were there that I met and became friends with.

-First of all i just want to start off by saying that my experience at Evolve was fantastic! i had an awesome time with close friends and had plenty of opportunity to meet new friends. being a festival goer myself i understand it is hard to get a new festival on it's new feet! but you all are doing a great job!
-I loved the fact that there were real bathrooms and warm showers
-I respect the fact that you guys are supporting the local music scene... that's so important and i love discovering new music.
-Evolve was amazing. It was a success two years running and i met so many wonderful souls.
- Me and my friends had a fabulous time running around in the rain hearing fantastic music, even more so than last year, we def will be there again next year, whenever u may have it- great job guys!!!
-Even w/the rain, it was awesome, we had soooooooooooo much fun, and I love the food, especially the mozzerrella and tomato pannini....can't wait for next year!

-I enjoyed the setup of the place -- it was cleaner and better organized than most any festival I've been to.
-first off the site was amazing....easy to get to....the grounds were beautiful....camping was close to the music and all the venues....tha bathrooms rocked...self flushing urinals and self washing sinkinks were great...even a baby changing table:)....i used them at eleven at night and some one was in there cleaning around the sinks...i thanked him...and he was so nice to thank me back for thanking him...what a cool vibe i got from everyone i ran onto.....workers too volunteers...even the sound guys were on top of their game (they ususually aren't the nicest at some fests).....the stages were well run...organized....i even liked the awesome plants that were put around them for ambiance....i had a nice talk witht he illustrator of the posters...mike...real cool guy....and bought some of his posters and magnets....the food was pretty good....didn't sample enough cause i brought some myself....i enjoyed the screens and movies provided by skip....i thought it was cool that no music was canceled due to the weather and that you shifted the stages .....i thought it was awesome to see that many trash cans and recycling bins.... hardly any sketchy people were around...and people respected eachother from what i saw.....
-It was a great vibe and turn out considering the hurricane that came through.
-We had a blast and I was impressed how you put it all together. It was awesome man.
